I'm dreaming of an early christmas

WE celebrated Chrsitmas Dec 9-13 this year. As we do not do things the easy way around here, we also decided to drive. No-one was cramped for space though and we were able to sleep in the back of the 'burbon on the way.

Muggins was supposed to stay in the back but would sneak up to be in the front by having a big stretch and stretching her front paws out.
She is a good little sleeper! what is it about being curled up tight that is so comfortable?
Home sweet home, mugs needed to burn some steam in the park
We timed our visit to see mom in the Christmas Cantata
We has two nice meals and rounds of Balderdash with Pat and Shannon
Frisky stayed in the rasfters for the majority of the visit. She may have tried to make a run for it but shook her paws once she realized the weather.

Abby was a good sport being dressed up in the holiday spirit. And if you are wondering she has lost her teeth with age. We did not spike her doggie dish.

Shannon, Tanya and thought we had felt the aura during a tarot  card reading  Turns out they were cleaning the kitchen with bleach.

Sean saw the Jets beat Minnesota, and caught up with a few friends of his own.

Winter 2011

Spring 2012-
one of our little friends (age 3) asked if muggins had boobies, when the response was no she looked at mugs and said oh- soon muggins, soon.

ahhhtumn

As an obedience lesson, I had muggins sit and stay while I buried her toy in a mound of leaves, then signaled her to take it, which she gladly did.  We do the same sequence at her feedings... sit...stay...take it. She practically vibrates waiting for the signal.

These are pictures of Kannanaskis country, the place where Christmas trees grow. On Remembrance day weekend Sean, Mug and I explored around.

I am still trying to prove I small but fierce.  Check out my crazy moves on a not-quite mountain bike (granny frame and skinny tires...and pasta butt seat too)

That high five was earned, baby!

Size matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size, do you? Hmm? Hmm

This Jedi in training likes a good burp after a bottle and loves snuggling in warm blankets.
Women often fall for his charms but ladies, be warned- he might be too needy.

It's fun getting into trouble

No one can resist a ring- a-ding- ding from time to time
                                                            You're busted!
I bet the views from those tree tops are amazing
                                                   At our somewhat secret hideway

Vive le voyageur! Just pay up and you too can have the *authentic experience

                                                                                    * experiences may vary

Our little girl is so brave
Sean, Mug and I scrambled up  Moose Moutain to check out a cave from Sean's past
Muggins put me to shame hiking. She must have come with a built in spare battery

welcome 'rents!!!

Mom and dad arrived the same week we welcomed Muggins home. Thanks for the help pup-sitting. They helped us suffer through her perpetual chew phase.
We took a trip to Jasper
Stopping to marvel at the receeding Columbia Icefield
Looking at Pyramid Mountain (one of seven pyramid mountains in the Canadian Rockies).  This is one of Jasper's most photogenic sights. And two of Jasper's most photogenic people.

We stayed at Coyote Ridge in Jasper, which we will return to again when we ski Marmot Basin.
We looked for wildlife on our trip and we found sheep, clusters of them sunning themselves and modelling for us.
I said to one of them "Quick! Staring contest me and you"...........

You win again, you always do.
That's why I come up here.

We saw a Moose swim all the way across Maligne lake. What an unbelievable sight.
Sean has a picture of a bear that swam by him in NWT, but I will save that story for him to tell you at a later time.
